Micah Wineland

Media Director

I was raised in Clearwater FL. in a Christian home. My father was the Senior Pastor of our church, my mom was the Worship leader and Children’s Pastor, and my brother and I were anything and everything needed in-between. I loved growing up in the church! The Music, messages, the friends, parties, and all the memories- Church was home. I got saved at 7 years old and dedicated my heart to the Lord. As I got older, I did my fair share of straying away and becoming a “rebellious teen” but the Lord always had a gracious grip on my heart. One day towards the end of high school I woke up and decided to go back to my first love; Jesus & His Church. After high school, I started volunteering as the media team lead in my young adult group. The Lord had led me to a new passion; film! I was fascinated by the power of a good story, told by the right people, shot at the perfect angle. The in’s and out’s of film had me enamored. Right around the time I began this new hobby my dad received a call from an old family friend named Pastor Billy Claudio. Pastor Billy explained he was launching a traveling drama ministry called “New Life Drama Company” out of his church and he wanted me to be apart of the start of it. May of 2014 I packed my bags with a one-way ticket to Phoenix AZ. and never looked back. Being able to travel the country and help God’s kingdom grow has impacted my life in ways I will never fully be able to explain. A year into joining NLDC I met my husband Chris who also traveled with me. Chris and I both have a huge passion for Christian entertainment and the next generation. Now being a director of New Life Drama Co. I take great pride in raising up the next generation to serve the church and impact the world. And I still get to pursue film too so that’s a bonus haha.
