Leadership

Pastors & Staff

Billy Claudio

Lead  Pastor

I was born in Chandler, Arizona, to an Air Force pilot father, which was the beginning of my adventures in life. I spent my early years in Europe until we planted in Long Island, New York, where my dad was born.  This is the place my relationship with God began, at a little Bible study my mom and I attended.  This decision revolutionized how I viewed life and my purpose. After graduation, I attended New Life Bible College in Tennessee, where I helped establish the traveling theater group known as The New Life Drama Company (1983).  I traveled around the country and world, sharing the hope found in Jesus. I met my wife while traveling and have been blessed to share over 30 years of marriage with two boys and now a beautiful granddaughter and daughter-in-law. I am an avid golfer and love spending time with my family, especially when we are out back grilling steaks and just hanging out.  My wife and I love the beach and anywhere warm.

Dawn and I planted Oasis in 2001 and have been so blessed seeing all that God has done.  We are thankful and believe that the best is yet to come.

Dawn Claudio

Worship & Women's Pastor

I was raised in Martinsville, VA in a Christian home with two loving parents and three older siblings. I experienced God at a very young age and accepted Jesus then. I was involved in music from a young age, as well. Singing and playing the piano to this day are things I love to do.   I even had the opportunity to preach my first sermon at the age of 10 in two different churches.  I began in full-time ministry while still in high school. Ministry training was developed in Cleveland, TN. at New Life Bible College & the New Life Drama Company. (A ministry I traveled with full time for 3 years.) After marrying the love of my life in 1989, we traveled extensively across the United States doing ministry through music, drama and teaching the Bible in local churches. It was during this time that I had my two sons, Billy & Nick.

After 10 years on the road, we settled in Greenville, SC where my pastoral leadership was developed.   In 2001, my husband and I felt the call to plant OCC, where I currently oversee the Worship Ministry, Women’s Ministry, and Freedom Ministry. I feel so blessed to serve with so many great people in our leadership and church body.

I also enjoy the opportunities where I get to travel to speak at other churches and conferences. I also love to spend time with my two sons, daughter in law, Tawny and my granddaughter, Presley.

Andrew Milich

Executive Pastor

I grew up in Chicago as a devout catholic and became a believer in high school while attending Willow Creek Community Church.  Having been in ministry for over 20 years in many different positions, I can truly say God has called me to this.  I have a B.A. in Liberal Arts  with an emphasis on Psychology, and Ministry from Trinity International University in Deerfield, Illinois. After graduation I attended Trinity Evangelical Divinity Seminary while pursuing an M.A. in Christian Education. While at school I met my wife Elisabeth who is incredibly beautiful.  It was easy for her to convince me to move to Arizona where she is from. After years of full-time ministry I decided to enter the marketplace and became the Vice President of Operations for a technology company headquartered in Arizona.  I felt the call back into full-time ministry. I have been an elder and volunteer at Oasis ever since.  We love this place.  I have been married for over 25 years and have 3 kids and 1 son-in-law.  In my free-time, I am an avid hunter and enjoy fishing.  I played baseball in college and have a deep love for the Chicago Cubs. If you want to hang out for lunch nothing beats a good hot dog or Vienna beef.

Gene James

Associate Pastor

I was born in Natchez, Mississippi. My family later migrated to Louisiana, and after high school I joined the Air Force and served eight years. After my military service, I pursued higher studies in Chiropractic and practiced in Phoenix for over two decades. Arizona has been my home since 1978. Kim and I have been happily married for over 30 years and we have been blessed with six wonderful children. I have authored several books with titles ranging from men’s ministry to fitness. My accomplishments are attributed to the blessings of a Christian home and the fellowship and nurturing of men and women of God who have spoken into my life.
My pathway to pastoral leadership has its background in the Church of God in Christ, African Methodist Episcopal church, and Reformed Church in America before Kim and I founded a non-denominational church in Phoenix. I am a former competitive athlete and Kim and I enjoy weekends in Sedona and life at the beach.

Andrea Neary

Children's Pastor

I was born and raised in Minnesota. I grew up appreciating the small towns, lakes, and an amazing fall season. To my surprise,  God moved my family and I to Phoenix in 2010 where we found Oasis and more importantly the Lord.   My kids were the first to attend and become involved at church.  Eventually, it was their faithfulness that helped lead me to the Lord.  I am a direct result of how God can use children's ministry in a life transforming way. I am thankful God has given me a passion for reaching and teaching the future leaders of tomorrow for the sake of Jesus.

Johnnie Fry

Youth Pastor

I was born and raised in Hebron, Indiana; a small town about 45 minutes outside of Chicago.  I was raised with a massive blended family of 10 including full, half, adopted, step, and fostered siblings. Though I was raised in a Christian home, I never truly understood what it was to have a relationship with Jesus, until July of 2020, where I got the opportunity to join the New Life Drama Company and moved to Phoenix. Through this ministry,  I had the opportunity to use my passions for acting/travel to minister the gospel across the United States.  There is also where I met the most joyous and beautiful woman of God, Rachel, whom I had the privilege to marry in November of 2022.  I am so thankful for Oasis being my home church and allowing me to minister to the next generation and those needing the love of Jesus.

Mary Halter

Creative Director

I was born and raised in a small town in South Jersey. I can honestly say, there isn't a moment in my life where I don't remember having a relationship with the Lord. From a young age, I loved going to church and would volunteer whenever possible. In 2015, a graduated with a BFA in Film Production/Editing. I committed to the Lord that my talents were His to do whatever He wanted. In 2017, I joined the ministry, New Life Drama Company, where my gifting and passion for the Lord grew. Over these past years, the Lord has radically transformed my life! I am so honored to use my talents now as the Creative Director here at Oasis. Everything we do has an impact, and I am blessed to be a part of sowing seeds for the Kingdom through the arts!
